Muscat's peak season is November, December, January, February and March, with April and October as shoulder months. Oman's official tourism site calls November to early March the mild, dry season with Muscat averaging about 26°C, recommends autumn as a comfortable time, and puts summer lowland temperatures at 35 to 45°C. The city is pleasant from late October to March; May to September is too hot for daytime outings.
